The Village

The Village Community houses men and women in eight residence halls. Auburn’s social sororities are housed in three of the buildings and a fourth building houses members of the Honors College. The remaining four buildings are coed housing both freshmen and upperclassmen.

Sorority Halls            Coed Halls
Magnolia                     Aubie (Honors Only)
Oak                              Talon
Willow                          Eagle

Single Gender Halls
Plainsman- Female Only
Tiger- Male Only

The Village units are configured in "super suites" shared by four students. The suites consist primarily of four single bedrooms, two bathrooms and a common living/dining area. There are a very limited number of three single bedroom, one bathroom (two lavatories) and two single bedroom, one bathroom units available as well. Rent will include all utilities including basic TV cable and wireless internet service (phone service not included). Note: you may request one suitemate only on the housing application. If you wish to request up to two additional suitemates and all of you are placed in the Village, then each of you must contact our office after you receive your housing assignments to request the additional suitemate(s).

Each bedroom is furnished with an extra long (80") twin bed, study desk and chair, chest of drawers, and closet (has no door but residents can cover with a curtain). The living/dining areas are furnished with a sofa and side chair, dining table with 2 chairs, microwave, fridge, sink, and counter and cabinet space. There is a laundry facility and common kitchen in each residence hall. Residents receive their mail and pick up packages at a centrally located mailroom in the Village.

Members of the Honors College (including Presidential Scholars) are not automatically placed in an Honors Hall. They must be guaranteed on-campus housing and request placement in an Honors Hall. While we cannot guarantee placement in an Honors Hall, we are usually able to accommodate the majority of requests. Only Honors College students may live in Aubie Hall: therefore, Honors students who request roommates who are not members of the Honors College will not be considered for placement in Aubie Hall.

Current policy guarantees housing to students who reside on campus and who wish to return to Housing for the next academic year. However, there is no guarantee for specific types of housing for these students.
