Samantha Lopez, a 2013 graduate of Auburn University, followed her Undergraduate Research Fellowship
with the award of a Fulbright Research Scholarship, a grant for full-time graduate study and research
at the Université libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium.
Justin Melnick, a 2012-2013 Undergraduate Research Fellow of Auburn University, completed an
interdisciplinary research project that took him to California to meet with the Chairman of
the most powerful firm in golf course architecture and to France to conduct an invited site visit.
Paul Bergen, a 2012 graduate of Auburn University, has been awarded
a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, a full-cost award for full-time graduate
study and research at the University of Cambridge.
Marian Royston, a senior Honors College student from Roanoke,
Alabama majoring in History with a double minor in Community and
Civic Engagement and Political Science has been selected as winner
for the Mitchell Scholarship to Ireland. Marian is the first ever
recipient to represent Auburn University in the program’s history.
Ashton Richardson, a senior Honors College student majoring in Animal
Sciences (pre-veterinary medicine) has been named a Rhodes Scholarship
finalist and winner of the Bobby Bowden Award.
